OUR STORY
THE V developed out of an idea and a need for extra batting practice for Peter Robb's two cricket mad boys.
Peter was unable to find a suitable suspension point for a cricket ball and string, the traditional at home training aid used by young players to help develop their batting skills at home.
The plan was to design a portable freestanding batting unit that could be used on any surface indoors or out.
THE V was developed and fine tuned through multiple prototypes.
The lightbulb moment,
An early prototype featuring a semi-circular net turned V shaped under the stresses of vigorous testing. A sweet spot in the design had been found. This created an absorb deflect return action returning the ball into the strike zone through a range of angles and speeds, allowing for continuous shot play and an intensity of training not possible with traditional training methods.
The unique revolutionary design now has international patents and Trademarks granted.
Batters can now train on their own, fast tracking key batting skills including rhythm and timing, building confidence and enjoyment of the game. They can do this at home, at training or at their game.
We realised THE V could revolutionise the way batters warm up before their innings at the game -'Getting in the zone before they go out to bat'.
THE V is suitable for use by cricketers of all ages and abilities from junior through to first class players.
At THE V, we are committed to further development of high-quality training products with a focus on ease of use and enhancement of function. We have a vision and commitment to give back to junior cricket.
